Basic Sewing Classes

Thursdays 6:00 - 8:00 PM

Basic sewing is an introduction to sewing techniques beginning with fabric preparation and constructing garments using commercial patterns. The basic skills you will learn in this course will be utilized in your own garment sewing projects.

You will learn how to straighten and block fabric and proper pressing techniques which are first and foremost in constructing garments and you will learn the different seam finishes required to neaten seams. You will learn to use commercial patterns to perfect you techniques. Join this class and see that sewing is very rewarding. Sewing takes some patience and only through practice do you improve, this course will provide this practice and you will be on your way to sew professionally looking garments that you will proudly wear!!

If you are more advanced than basic sewing maybe you have a project that you would like to work on that you need help with. This may also be the class for you.
